I create beautiful artwork by combining my love of the great outdoors & dogs.
My work is about so much more than the photograph. It’s about the memories, the emotion and the friendship you have with your dog.
The Artwork is a celebration of the life you share together.
I’ve loved dogs since I can remember and there is no greater feeling than the freedom of heading out on a long walk with your best friend, your most loyal companion - your dog.
Canine, human or a mixture of both, there’s nothing that cannot be paired with our stunning ‘backyard’ of Northern Ireland.
WHY I DO WHAT I DO
There are a million things I could photograph and a million different ways I could photograph them. But I do what I do because it is what I love.
As I type this I’ve my best friend lying beside me on the sofa, she’s what inspired me to start The Backyard Photography Company.
My best friend is Phoebe, a big black rescue dog
The best photographs aren’t the ones which simply show us how we looked, they are the ones that remind us how we felt.
“On recommendation I booked Gail for an adventure shoot of my two girls (age 2 and 5) and our 10 year old Doberman in a location very close to our hearts. Gail was amazing, she was so patient, gentle and just let the girls take the lead. We had the photos very quickly and I was blown away by just how beautifully they turned out, they captured the bond between all three so perfectly, and you just know they had fun getting the photos taken. I’m married to Ben, I’m mummy to Efa & we have two awesome dogs, Phoebe & Eddy. I’m addicted to sugar, I’m an introvert, I’m well travelled and I’m an over-thinker!
